Direct Report Goals

Develop an action plan for the cancer center to achieve NCI designation.

• Review and understand the report of the EAB. Create an action plan and seek approval from the COC. List action steps to correct current deficiencies.

• Action plan with a timeline and deliverables acceptable to the COC.

Create a pathway to allow UC to develop an accredited Public Health Center.

• Construct oversight committee. Apply for center status with the BOT. Begin search for a director. Work to achieve accreditation and reaccreditation.

• Center status approved. MPH program reaccredited. . UG program accreditation application in process. Director search underway.

Establish a joint strategic plan with UC Health.

• Conduct detailed planning process with multiple work groups this winter.

• A strategic plan acceptable to both the UC Health Board and the BOT.

Support the foundation in achieving its aggressive current year Health Science fundraising goal.

• Multiple strategic meetings within the HSC, with the foundation, and with donors.

• 100 M in fundraising on the HSC this academic year.

Create and analyze a community service database.

• Compile all Community Service activities and leads at the HSC and within UC Health and create a database. Understand gaps in service.

• A searchable database of activities and leaders.

Successful leadership hires on the HSC.

• Conduct searches for at least 4 department chairs and at least on center director this academic year.

• All searches at or near completion by 6/30/25.
